Experience the beauty of Nebraska's first and largest U-Pick Sunflower Patch at Nelson Produce Farm Sunflower Festival!
This two-week event held on our 22-acre farm in Nebraska, will feature a variety of exciting activities for all ages. Spend the day picking sunflowers and creating your own bouquets, play a variety of outdoor games, or relax with a stroll through the beauty of over 100,000 bright yellow blooms overlooking the Elkhorn River. We will be hosting a variety of events and classes, such as Rise and Bloom, photography nights , yoga and a special couples night. Be sure to check out the live music and entertainment, and don't forget to take home some of the locally made sunflower products. With so much to see and do, the Nelson Produce Sunflower Festival is sure to be a memorable experience for everyone!

1st U -Pick Sunflower Field in Nebraska
RISE & BLOOM
Join us for breakfast and a view of the sunflowers in the early part of the day.We’ll have a breakfast of Hardy Coffee Co. coffee, a donut or muffin, and a fruit cup waiting for you! Then we’ll drive you up to the Sunflowers so you can watch them “wake up” to the sun and face the day. After you’ve finished you’re meal, fill up your Breakfast Bucket with Sunflowers to take home.
BUTTERFLY RELEASE
On the day of the release, we’ll have you meet us on the Farm a half hour before the event so we can take you out to the Sunflower Fields in our hayrack. Once there, we’ll hand over your Painted Lady Butterfly. Then we’ll release them together into the splendor of the Sunflowers!
Sunflower Photography Sessions
Join us at Nelson Produce Farm on August 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st from 5PM-9PM for exclusive Sunflower Photography Sessions in our Sunflower Field.
Nelson Produce Farm will open their gates exclusively to Photographers signed up for the evening, and their clients, on four nights only. This event is an opportunity to catch the beauty of the sunflowers without the public milling around.
The cost for each photographer will be $250 for the first night. A discount of $50 per night will be given to photographers for each additional photography session. This fee covers you and your clients.

Sessions will be limited and therefore no refunds or exchanges are offered.

If a session is cancelled because of weather conditions, we will allow you to transfer your night to another session.

Photographers will only be allowed to bring in props that can be carried.

Nelson Produce Farm will not be able transport equipment to the sunflower field.

Photographers are responsible to coordinate with their clients. Nelson Produce Farm will not be able to direct clients to you.

Areas around the field will be available on a first come first serve basis. Spaces and props will not be held.

Sunflowers will not be allowed to be cut or knocked over.

Clients must sign in at the check-in gate.

Our Farm Market will be open for clients to cool off and grab a light snack or drink.
