Get ready for an unforgettable educational adventure at Nelson Produce Farm! We offer engaging and fun field trip experiences perfect for schools, youth groups, and organizations.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDED FIELD TRIP
This tour starts with a 45 minute guided educational tour, followed by full access to the farm.

The guided tour includes educational facts and student immersion at 6 key stations throughout the farm provided by a private guide. After the tour, your students have full access to the farm.

SELF-PACED FIELD TRIP
This tour allows you and your students to explore the farm at your leisure.

Full access to the farm: hayrack rides, quonset (animals), several play areas, Little Farmers interactive education area, and much more!

School Staff Costs
Admission for lead teachers, paid staff onsite and bus drivers is FREE. The leader of a daycare group or homeschool group of at least 15 children will be FREE.
**Parent volunteers will be charged the field trip admission price at the gate.
Season Passes & Coupons:
Season passes or coupons CANNOT be used towards Field Trip Admissions for
students

WHAT TO BRING

Comfortable closed-toed walking shoes (Encounters with mud are possible if it has recently rained or rain is forecasted.)

Weather appropriate clothing that can get dirty (Dressing in layers is recommended in spring and fall.)

Rain gear (If sprinkles or showers are in forecast.)

A hat and sunscreen

Water Bottle labeled with name and school

Sack Lunches (Boxed and marked with Schools & Teachers Name)

Allergy medications (If a child has severe allergies, please remember they will be exposed to hay, pollen, bees and farm animals, so prepare accordingly.)
FACILITIES
Parking - Free parking is available for all guest vehicles. Handicap parking spaces are located near the entrance to the farm. We have special drop-off lanes and parking spaces for buses.
Restrooms and Hand Wash Stations – Located in several locations around the property for your convenience.
The Market is located in the large white building next to The Front Porch Cafe. The Market provides the perfect place to enjoy our fresh baked goods, and other specialty items. Shop the jams, jellies, relishes, salsas, pickles and more. Check out the home decor, clothing and kitchen items selection as well.
Coffee Barn is located in the market. Coffee and other refreshments can be found here. Donuts, snacks, breakfast items and light lunch items are also available.
Ice Cream Shop: Before heading home, stop by our Ice Cream Shop for a scoop of homemade ice cream — a favorite field trip tradition!
